Da capo al fine is a superior academy of music located in a silent and inspiring environment. It is the abstraction of the landscape in a single linear element which accompanies a path that crosses Villacreces, an abandoned little village in Tierra de Campos.

The project has two volumes. On the one hand, the longitudinal building, which is connected by ramps. It contains classrooms of individual and collective practice, theoretical classrooms and study and rest areas connected to the vertical communication nuclei. On the other hand, the auditorium, which is buried as the old wine cellar used to be in the past.

The aim of the project is to bring Villacreces back to life, breaking silence, creating music through architecture. Conceiving the countryside, as silence, the movement in the landscape as music, as life, rhythm as structure and music as architecture. An architecture made by parts, by modules, where the circulations between the spaces create movement in the flat landscape.

Rhythm and movement are inherent concepts in music, and are the base of this architecture, that sounds, that is lived, that vivifies and recomposes the landscape which years ago was totally abandoned.
