RE-USE
BY, FOR, AND WITH THE COMMUNITY

RE-Use is an intergenerational, sustainable, and accessible space with two main objectives: to promote plastic circularity by giving it a second life, and to offer a valuable service to the existing community.

The project provides the neighborhood with a place for meeting and integration, encouraging care for both body and mind, while at the same time proposing a new typological model that brings together sustainability and technology. The function of this building is not confined within its four walls; instead, it seeks to create an active connection with the neighborhood and, in particular, to highlight the micro-appropriations of public space that emerge from the creations developed inside it.

This initiative was born in Carabanchel, but it proposes a model that is replicable and scalable to other neighborhoods.
