RYW
Ryw is the answer to a client who asked for a hammam and a laundry at Ifoulú, an Amazigh village at the High Atlas of Morocco.

The proposal is based on several investigations, such as a movement analysis or a search for contemporary socialization scenes that are provided by architecture and tries to empower women in a complicated social environment.

Ryw is on a river and is composed of a single piece, which is repeated many times. The contextual parameters and the tight budget were determinant to make most decisions. The project talks constantly about the relation between above and below, how the river provides what the spaces need and vice versa.

Ryw is a hamman, a laundry but it is also an amusement park for the amazigh women of the Tessaout Valley.
