ATRIUM
CÁDIZ.

Atrium is located in a privileged place in the seaside, a place where the seafront is currently interrupted by the setting conditions.
The main element of the proposal is the seafront that widens and shrinks according to the side areas. It splits the project in two, leaving the area close to the sea as a free space for the enjoyment of all users. Perpendicular to the main promenade, areas with different uses (pic-nic, sport, games, green zones…) emerge through a band organization that works as an extension of the Parque Genovés.
On the other side of the seafront, a new volume is attached and invades the pre-existing towers sheltering an accommodation program of different categories: luxury hotel, studios and hostel. Below it, among a sea of pillars, a covered square in which the equipments are placed is created. Also, a new floor formed by a great privileged green space and with views for exclusive use of the housing towers is placed on the roof.
The courtyards constitute a fundamental part of the project and perforate the building allowing light to enter the rooms and the ground floor and creating small spaces open to the outside in each accommodation unit.
