Avian Towers
In Finland, both native and migratory birds hold special importance in the ecosystem, but these bird populations are declining, and some are endangered due to habitat fragmentation and destruction, environmental pollution, and climate change. This is how bird towers emerge—structures composed of a vertical and a horizontal part that serve for the care, study, and protection of these species. The vertical towers are dedicated to providing birds with a place to nest and find food safely, while the horizontal areas are dedicated to housing laboratories for bird study and places for humans to live.
