CAMINO MADRIDRILEÑO
On the occasion of the Jacobean year, three projects are planned along the Camino de Santiago in Madrid. In Fuencarral, Cercedilla and Segovia. Three projects related to the pilgrim.

The first project, the Laviña Mausoleum, is a family tomb located in the cemetery of Fuencarral, north of Madrid. It is located on the northwest side of the cemetery in relation to the mountains of Madrid.
The mausoleum is built in Vicenziana stone and is composed of two parts separated by arcades. A first part with an olive tree that serves as an atrium and a second part open to the landscape that is the place of burial and prayer.

The second project is located in the city of Segovia at the foot of the aqueduct in the artillery square that opens to the Castilian horizon.
It generates a space for events and reception for pilgrims. It consists of two pieces that bridges the difference in height that exists in the place. A first piece destined to a pavilion for covered events and a second one where the administration and services are located. In the center there is a large square that relates to the horizon and the aqueduct.

The last project is a hostel for pilgrims at the Cercedilla swimming pools, where the Javier Vellés umbraculum is located. The project seeks to enhance the idea of the umbraculum by emptying its existing rooms, used for pool services, and introducing them into the new project. A retaining wall creates a back and collects the program of the hostel.
Following the staggering of the umbraculum, the upper floor houses the rooms, showers and services around two courtyards, and the first floor houses the reception, common areas, baths and changing rooms, in relation to the existing pools.
