The Chamartín Station is the most important space in the Barrio de Castilla in the District of Chamartín. This element is the center of the project and works as a pole of attraction both cultural. In addition, the station is the welcome letter from most travelers in Madrid for the large number of connections that it offers with the rest of neighborhoods, municipalities and cities. Today the actual station collects almost 4 million passengers a year going through it both daily workers and tourists. But the access difficulties that it presents, the
lack of nearby public spaces and unused surfaces within the station will not support the growth that will occur with the development of the proposed Master Plan. Therefore, it proposes a new station integrated into the urban environment that revalues ??the forgotten spaces of the old station and function as a strategic point connected with the activity of the city.

The station will be located further north of the area to favor connections with the main road structure. Thanks to this location, road traffic has the possibility to travel the station on its four facades. To the North the station maintains a direct connection with the Paseo de la Castellana and the Avenida de Burgos thanks to the new road that rises parallel to the Pius XII tunnel. To the east of the station is the longitudinal boulevard that It covers the entire North-South area. Finally, Agustín de Foxá collects most of the public transport that arrives at the station.

The proposed new station aims to be located in the city as an important milestone because it is the gateway of so many tourists, businesses, passengers, citizens and inhabitants of the world. It is intended to revalue the geometry more characteristic of the old Chamartín, as were the vaults, trying to enhance its meaning and giving it much more presence than they once had. That's why we think of a high-tech architecture
generated by a spatial mesh with double curvatures that cover the space of the station and enhance the attractiveness of its geometry inside the station. A new station that dazzles visitors to Madrid when land at the Adolfo Suárez-Madrid Barajas Airport and arrive at the Chamartín station through the line direct suburban train.
