EN RUTA: PARASITANDO SANTIAGO
The Camino de Santiago is every day frequented by thousands of pilgrims, both on foot or by bicycle. Therefore, this project´s aim pursues the creation of a portable cart that expands and assembles a place where the pilgrim can rest, sleep and take refuge when necessary.

In this case, the project proposes the creation of a versatile and practical design that is manageable and easy for the pilgrim to use and to transport in a reduced form.
After the long journey, the pilgrim arrives at Santiago de Compostela where we can find the cathedral and its botafumeiro. The cart has now been converted into a "new botafumeiro": a sac that is hanged from the cathedral´s ceiling and raised towards the top with a pulley system.

From the top, the sac offers the possibility of expanding itself so that it can be used in different ways. In this way, the pilgrims can be submerged in such a special and unique experience for the Galician people as it is the botafumeiro flight inside the cathedral.
