Entre patios
Contemporary living doesn't necessarily have to be based on the traditional concept of houses with four fixed walls. With this project, I wanted to explore the relationship between interior and exterior, blurring the boundaries and creating flexible and versatile spaces that can adapt to different programs and climatic conditions.

In the first exercise, I took the use of planes to the extreme, combining concrete walls with glass panels to create diffused spaces that connect through courtyards and generate a sense of permeability. A system of cantilevered roofs creates shade to regulate temperature and light without having to completely enclose the spaces.

The project ultimately evolved after a reinterpretation of the advantages offered by interior courtyards and a more controlled arrangement of these spaces. Maintaining the idea of permeability, I designed a central habitable core with sliding panels that allow the space to be fully opened or closed, and even create different setups. The rooms are separated by interior glass courtyards that provide good lighting even when the space is completely closed, while also continuing to enable interaction between the interior and exterior.
