Environmental observatory
The environmental observatory is located at the Alcornocales park, specifically in the forest of fog, which has climatic conditions and unique vegetation. It has a high humidity and high amount of fog.
The project is about an environmental control center where the air should be used as an environmental regulator.
On the ground floor, the rooms are located to give an intimate character of proximity to the vegetation and common areas.
On the second floor there are individual laboratories as well as a mechanized production area, and different work areas.
The central axis of the project is the control tower where there are two store floors, a forklift as a distributor, at the highest level the surveillance overlooking the entire park of the Alcornocales, finally there is the heliport.
The tower has not only programmatic importance, it also has a climatic role and a clear communication strategy, where it is hierarchized in three levels: merchandise, workers and residents of the observatory.
In addition, different climate control strategies are used, a facade of ceramic panels that gives the possibility to colocate them according to the day and the needs, and a staggering throughout the project: rooms, laboratories, common areas and production where the cold air is condensed in the lowest part and the hottest in the upper level.
