From object to site
"THE COLLECTIVE, FROM OBJECT TO SITE"

The object of the course has been the development of architecture around the individual and his activity. Thus, four exercises have been worked on in which the scale has progressively increased to adapt in each case to the function of the architecture.

00 "THE MASK"
-Complement's scale.
The first exercise involves creating an object as private as a mask, through which the individual expresses itself.

01 "THE HAT"
-Obejct's scale
For the second essay, the object is to devise an object-structure that can be held over three heads as a hat. The proposal is a lightweigh structure build from the union of three toroids, which enables the movement of three individuals while mantaining its integrity.

02 "THE REFUGE"
-Individual's scale
From the object to the space. This third exercise reqiures to create a space where at least one person can freely move and develop any activity. The aim is to build a shelter out of a triangulated structure, which connects to the college by a window.

03 "THE ROOM"
-Building's scale
By the fourth exercise, the architecture must grow to the size of a classroom for fifty students.
Inspired by "Bodegas Ysios", the structure ondulates following a sinusoidal geometry to dodge the windows of the facade.

FINAL PROJECT
04 "FROM THE PARTS, A WHOLE"
The final exercise consists of the materialization of a dialogue between the previous four. Four scales that add up and complement each other to create an additional space to the school.
Taking the "hat" (01) as the main structure, the triangulation of the refuge (02) as constructive system, and the walkable and ondulated roof of the clasroom (03) as a resource to replace the green area, the final project's aim is to build a lightweigh strucure with two floors intended for student's work areas, and a green roof for leisure.
The purpose on this project has been to look back and take the strenghts of each exercise developed during the course, and gather them together in this final project. Out of the parts, a whole.
