We are located in a small square in Palermo, located in a neighborhood in full decline, which has some ancient ruins. It will be this place that will give life to the project, whose program aims to create collective housing.

Inhabiting the sky is based on fluidity, dynamism, the introduction of nature and the creation of a dreamlike environment that allows one to escape from the stressful city.

The first objective is based on taking advantage of Palermo's mediterranean climate, where sun and heat predominate.The proposal is based on the creation of artificial trees thet function as climate regulators. In short, the creation of an oasis in the middle of the city. These, provided with vertical communications, will also be responsible for collecting water or energy through solar panels isntalled on top.

The residential proposal breaks with the limits of traditional housing to go on to develop domestic spaces designed for the way they are lived, distinguishing a basement floor in which the baths are located, the ground floor that will have common outdoor areaas, and the first floor made up of two metal meshes, which will act as a relationship space; and by habitable units that will provide comfort, intimacy and a space to rest.

Finally, the project was spatially deployed in the neighborhood, trying to solve the main deficiencies of its dwellings,adapting the habitable units, already developed, to the existing residences and their needs. Consequently,there will be a work unit, a laundry unit and a sanitary unit. In this way, each person will be free to choose the unit they need,thus improving the quality of life of the maximum possible number of inhabitants of this Italian neighborhood.
