PORTO, a city nestled between hills, with a very distinctive topography and a large river, the Douro, which reaches it´s end after flowing through the city.

LAMINAL is a band porject, where wine testing is being reinterpreted. Thus, an itinerary through five platforms, which thanks to a system of flat-packed modules made from recycled reinforced plastic floats in the Duoro. The fases of the wine test; recpetion, uncorkig, sight, smell and taste form an itinerary, where each platform is design in order to adecuate to it´s fase.
Therefore, barrel and bottle walls, policarbonate, white walls to see the wine, differente heights in the ground or openings in the ceiling, sum up a itinerary of spaces which make up a sublime experience.

Inside the city, beside the cathedral.
FAÇADE is a band project as well, where in a site conditionated by the existance of three ruined buildings, the emty space between them, and the difference in elevation between both, it is decisive to mantain the exterior facades.
Thus, these bands are parallel and perpendicular to facades, and contain the program.
The north building locates a passage, which separated the facade from the private rooms, rooms, commun spaces, and communicating spaces. The private rooms include a desk which lengthens into the corridor as a pot in order to contain vegetation.
Parallels continue in the garden, located between the glass facades, and starting off in a swimming lane, vegetation bands rise up saving the difference in elevation.
Through perpendiculars both buildings are conected as well. From the third building, which colides with the north, perpendicular bands with common rooms, lead the way out into de garden. This bands are transformed into stairs, reaching the south building. This perpendicular lines organise the south builiding as if they where a continuation of the ones in the first. Locating double rooms, kitchen, gym and communicating spaces.
A vertical indoor garden brakes this ground floor band-plan, allowing ventilation.
Both ground band-plans pretend to recall the Douro, the band which flows through the city.
