LET IT SHIP
Reyner Bahnam affirms that he is still waiting for a "worthy critique" of the architectural virtues of industrial construction that places it among the great canons of architecture.

The center of hydrodynamic experiences of Pasaia is created with the aim of generating an industry in the port capable of connecting to the city and of empowering and regenerating a port that has a great future.

The evolution of the industry has led to different relationships among the city, nature and the industry. After the oil crisis and some years that the industry and the city have been apart, some projects have appeared returning the industry to the city; an industry based on technology and innovation and that has been defined by some authors as the "New Industry".

In Pasaia, an industrial port, industry coexists with the city and nature due to the existing orography and the conditions that the place presents. Even though this port has been through many changes, Pasaia has opportunity spaces and has an important place in the naval sector.

"Let it Ship" is the new industry of Pasaia, a center of hydrodynamic experiences capable of the future development of the port and able to bring the city closer to it. A center that regenerates a deteriorated port and starts the development that this port can reach.

"Today, we can start thinking about large scale interventions in the landscape that are working in a way (without ever pretending the imitate landform directly) but they are working in a more symphathetic relationship to the landscape". Stan Allen
