NUDE
The renovation of ETSAM radically transforms the building by removing the enclosures of the north wing, exposing its essential structure of porticos and slabs. Inspired by the idea of "architectural nudity," the project embraces open and flexible spaces, where traditional boundaries dissolve to create a design tailored to the collective.

A new greenhouse skin envelops the structure, functioning as a passive thermal regulation system with thermal fabrics and ventilation panels. Beyond improving energy efficiency, this envelope generates terraces and green spaces that connect the building to its surroundings, serving as key points for gathering, sports, and relaxation.

Students, faculty, and staff organically appropriate the space, reinventing its use and extending their occupation to the new terraces and gardens on the facades and the former roof. These interventions redefine the building as a constantly evolving ecosystem that integrates architecture, nature, and community life, fostering free and sustainable learning shaped by its users.
