Plastic Paria
Plastic Paria Nomadic Recycling Fleet to collect and process abandoned plastics in the oceans. They identify deteriorating ports and develop a comprehensive inventory of abandoned materials along the coasts. The fleet, consisting of mobile and static stations, aims to optimize the collection, processing, and reuse of plastic, offering a novel approach to recycling and waste management. The team analyzed plastic routes leaving the peninsula, quantifying origin, weight, distance traveled, and immersion time. They developed an algorithm to locate suitable action points. The fleet, launched from the strategic port of Güiria, forms useful islands by compacting scattered plastic. Static stations on these islands are optimized based on plastic quantity and distribution. The interconnected fleet uses floating walkways for communication, and plastic is collected and processed for various purposes, including energy production and the creation of telecommunication buoys. The Plastic Paria Nomadic Recycling Fleet redefines waste processing models, providing a holistic solution beyond traditional methods.
