POLLINATE Valdemoro
Anoche cuando dormía
soñé, ¡bendita ilusión!,
que una colmena tenía
dentro de mi corazón;

y las doradas abejas
iban fabricando en él,
con las amarguras viejas
blanca cera y dulce miel.

Pollinating insects are a fundamental link in any natural ecosystem, since they constitute a key group in the preservation of the primary production on which life on the planet is sustained. However, they face high levels of threat. This threat is due to poor vegetation, being the main problem we will address the poor connectivity between green areas, roads, railways, streets and urbanizations prevent the movement of insects.

Our objective is to preserve and increase the populations of pollinating insects, enhancing natural values with artificial methods and pursuing an urban wildening. Our challenge, to repopulate with species of vivacious and autochthonous plants, plants rich in nectar and pollen.

A system will be devised to create connection mechanisms, such as the pollinating aqueductn that will act as a connector for pollination-sensitive spaces, overcoming physical barriers. Its interior offers conditions of eternal spring. Secondly pollinator shelter, network of micro-habitats that offer shelter and food to pollinators. Finally, the odor attractors, diffuse odors that attract pollinating insects, reaching a future repopulation. They also constitute the stations for artificial pollinating agents, they will supply pollen that they will distribute through a system of bubbles, obtaining this way their effective transmission.

These systems and mechanisms will allow an enhancement of natural spaces through technological advances and at the same time a naturalization of urban spaces.

Let's save them, let's save ourselves!
