Promenade en el mediterráneo
Promenade is a project located in a spot close to the “Playa del Serradal” with a Mediterranean climate and with a flood risk. These conditions led me to use as premises the need to build above ground so that the different spaces could be used including in the event of flooding and to connect every corner of the plot through a promenade while enjoying its every feature.
The proyect is a unique piece that functions as an organized system with four different layers: vegetation, floodable areas, paths and buildings, the latter being a pavilion, a museum and a cohousing area.
The pavilion is a space that suited for both public and common use. This versatility is translated into the structure, since the structural platform is shaped according to a pattern born out of the image of a spider nest, as a reference to the links between different people and between them and any team member.
The museum tries to mesh into the environment through its being deployed into three different spaces creating a subtle transition present in the natural landscape until you find yourself in an enclosure.
Finally the co-housing is the residential network that is shaped along curves that blend into the terrain and reminiscent of the fishes movement in the sea nearby.
