Redivivus
In the 1950s, thousands of Spaniards emigrated to the cities in search of work, abandoning their homes when coming to live in the metropolis. Fifty years later a new model is proposed urbanistic that brings the rustic to the urban.
Redivivus arises as a result of a social and economic analysis of a village without life, with unemployed people and with scarce academic training.
The project proposes to revitalize an obsolete area of the city through the introduction of a social model self-managed by neighbors, recovering social relations in a already consolidated company. San Blas is chosen as an implantation site of the proposal, one of the last villages directed constructed northwest of Madrid.
It is finally decided to insert the project in the heart of the neighborhood. A large free space unused in the most privileged place.
It remains as a result, a great set densified, in which there will be a effective use of the resources owned by the neighbors to achieve a more sustainable neighborhood, where they will be inserted new houses in the urban plot, in addition of the community spaces. All this accompanied by productive greenhouses of fruits and vegetables, which will eventually end supplying a market, separate from this previous plot, and open to a large square quality, which will be the new meeting place for the neighbors, at the economic point and boiling of San Blas.
