Sculpted Topography
"Sculpted Topography" is the result of an intuitive process deeply connected to the unique environment of Santiago de Compostela.

The project originates from an initial cartography that identifies key elements of the landscape.

In San Clemente Square, near the Obradoiro, an opportunity arises between a school and a police station, materialized in a perforated solid inspired by a previous collage. This design evolves into a topographical structure composed of standardized vertical elements, creating versatile spaces, pathways, and bleachers as its main features.

In its final stage, strategically located behind the garage, the project resolves a 9-meter elevation difference through an integrated topography that revitalizes and reconnects the area. Inspired by François Roche, Sou Fujimoto, and Kengo Kuma, the project combines modular systems of solid wood with lattices that filter natural light.

Red bleachers for performances, excavated spaces for educational activities, and pathways that generate unique atmospheres; "Sculpted Topography" emerges as an iconic space that physically and conceptually connects the community.
