STEAM PUNK HOUSE
In this project I have interpreted the utopian city as a futuristic city based on technological development.
Taking New Babylon of Constant as the main reference, I interpret a future situation in which the land will be collective property, and the work will be fully automated, robotized.
People will have time and freedom to devote themselves to creativity and knowledge.
We developed this utopian experiment in the city of Nagele, introducing mobile homes as a way of life and locating areas of interest that we could connect.
This new nomadic society that we propose is based on cultural development through travel, experience, having no cultural limits, experiencing the most extreme landscapes.
The next challenge was to develop this mobile home, of course in the minimum space, this led me to try to solve all the functions of a house in a small ship, by means of a stabilizing sphere, we can develop all the activities that we need in the inside without the movement of the ship affecting us.
'' The house is a household appliance that you can take with you, the city is a machine to plug it in ''
David Greene, Archigram 1966.
Finally, as an intermediate exercise we conducted a contest in which we developed a tower, this project is based on the experience of sound, the concrete structural nuclei absorb the sound of the vibrations of the envelope, generating variable reverberation, in this way as you travel the catwalks experience a melody that will always depend on the wind.
