Tape Tower
My project, the Tape Tower, is a building focused on the coexistence between the city and its residents.
The entire building is characterized by a system of 'tapes' that bend creating projections and recesses, making each floor unique. These tapes are habitable, and eight modules are distributed around them. The modules are defined by their own envelopes that, once again, fold to delimit the interior spaces.
The building is structured into 20 floors, including the ground floor, which houses the lobby and retail premises, followed by the residential levels. The tapes create a large central void used for both visual and vertical circulation, featuring six elevators accessed via cantilevered bridges and stairs that cross the void.
Thanks to the modules situated along the outer parts of the tapes, the building establishes a connection between the city and its residents.
