Tejedora
Tejedora is a project that borns from the structural analysis of the puppet. The process of generating models and extracting the functional potential of those was crucial for the final result.
The models were noticed to have a great playing potential for children and the project turned into tht direction.
Though the drawings experiments were extensive and seemed to go in a right direction it was important to find a structure that could held the unstable project.
The structure was found in the old water tanks of Madrid as a space of opportunity due to its inhabitability and its formality.
The project was developped in the Matadero water tank though it is a prototipe that can be placed in other areas adapting to the circumstances.
This context pushed the project to evolve from a playground area to a Montessori School in which it must be always a group of children playing in the unstable structure to keep the mechanism moving constantly.
It also uses the previous rehabilitation made by Langarita-Navarro architects in which it was put a species garden in the ground floor. There, the children could do the orchard practices, mandatory in this type of education
