The objective of my project is to plan the future growth of Cádiz, focusing in shortcomings in the existing city in terms of public space and green areas, as well as developing a new urban fabric oriented towards the new scientific and research activity that involves a change in the productive model and can help regenerate the city as a center for R & D in the region.
To carry out a large project, with the intention of making the construction as simple as possible, I perform a three-dimensional tetrahedral modulation of the territory. This geometry is translated into independent volumes formed by diagrid structural tubes
that make up all the urban fabric. It is intended that each of the volumes is an open space, diaphanous and flexible that allows it to adapt to any architectural typology.
The project focuses on the definition of the urban and technological system of the Higher Technical School of Science and Technology of the new city, as the core of the project.
In summary, my project seeks to create a simple and innovative structural and constructive system, based on triangulation, that allows the progressive and modernizing growth of the city of Cádiz, improving the lives of its citizens.
