Urban micro-interventions
Sixty years have passed since the creation of the directed settlement of Almendrales. Nowadays, it has almost lost its original essence: a wealthy social environment developed thanks to all the public and commercial spaces created within the town. There is a sense of nostalgia for this not-so-distant past.
This project tries to reunite again a place for the collective worldview, trying to reach back to the already lost dialogues between public space and its inhabitants.
This new urban infrastructure will be settled at 3 scales:
An urban scale, making a pedestrian and ridable course that will connect Almendrales to the existant capital green circle. A town scale, reactivating this path with some micro-interventions in both public spaces and new constructions. Finally a local scale, which help bring back to life these residual spaces that blossom when two or more residential blocks are merged together.
