URDIMBRE Y TRAMA
Throughout this course, we have been developing an evolved school for the children of the post-covid era. Therefore, it was decided to recover an intense relationship with nature outdoors, a fight against future pandemics, thanks to ventilation, outdoor education, getting children back to have a stronger immune system.

We have developed in three phases the school in the gardens of the Santamarca Foundation.
This project has a parallelism with the constitution of trees.

-ROOTS: TOPOGRAPHY: AUDITORIUM
Nature merges with the theater, the roots join and grow. The auditorium is a fundamental piece, place where these vegetations are born. The same light would create these stages, generating the performance spaces. Is located in the lower area, in contact with the ground,to adapt to the topography.

-TRUNK: VEGETATION AND LIGHT: WELLS
The school is transformed with the seasons due to the change of light and the cycle of plants. A catalog of tropical plants is created, differentiating between those that grow from the ground and climbing plants. A garden is associated to each classroom in the lower area, with each well being different one from the other due to the differentiation of species.

-BRANCHES AND FRUITS: CANOPY:
In the upper area 24 classrooms are configured through the courtyards, each of them being related to an external classroom and an internal classroom.
External classroom: is a transition between the courtyard and the internal classroom, because thanks to its division by means of a door and upper guillotine opening, it allows to have a retractable enclosure for light regulation.
Internal classroom: In turn configured by the modules at the beginning, a series of openings are created in the floor that serve as storage or even for playrooms.
