This proposal focuses on the towns located in the periphery of Madrid and consists in implementing a landscape milestone, a tower, in each one. The landscape would be seen sprinkled with these towers, organizing the área, easing orientation and conversing with the capital’s own skyline in a way that melds Madrid with the surrounding commuter towns into one. These towns Will efectivly be accepted by the city of Madrid and Will be incorporated thanks to their owm pressence and identity. Most importantly, Madrid´s territory becomes a single urban organism.
Throughout development the proposal has been centered on the town of Villalba, one of the largest in the Sierra de Madrid. With the tower, which works es an eolic generator although it harbours other smaller uses, comes a especialy horizontal architectural intervention which looks to solve urbanistic conflicts within the confines of the town by placing groups of structures with diferent programs in strategic locations conected by gangways and covered rails.
