equilibrISM
ImpressionISM, ExpressionISM, FauvISM, CubISM, FuturISM, DadaISM, SurrealISM, SuprematISM, ConstructivISM, NeoplasticISM...equilibrISM. equilibrISM is a game inspired by these artistic movements, especially by neoplasticISM. The game takes the primary colours, the straight lines, the planes and the geometry of this vanguard. With these simple elements you can build a complex space composition as Mondrian did in his paintings or Theo Van Doesburg in his House for an artist. In fact, a Mondrian's painting forms four sides of the cube which contains the game.

When the cube is open, the four players find their pieces which are also the planes of Mondrian’s picture. These pieces have different size, weight and thickness. The players have to connect these planes using different connectors, which are pieces with holes where the planes fit. There are four sticks too. Each player has to build, on his stick, a balanced structure with the planes and the connectors. You can use your pieces to unbalance your rivals’ structure. If your structure falls down, you lose.

Your imagination against the gravity. You only have to avoid the floor. But it is not as easy as it seems to be, because all your pieces and connectors are different. There are hundreds of possible spaces, so that there are not two equal games.
