The proposal is based on strong conditioning factors, which have been modeling the project throughout its development. The place, Sodermälm in Stockholm, with the importance of the rock and its corresponding unevenness, the existing building, with its ex-elevator condition and its marked structure, and finally the program, a social condenser, which immediately leads us to study proxemics

The chosen building is the Mariahissen, in Stockholm. As it was mentioned, it is a building that was formerly used as an elevator to save the height difference (23.67 m.). This building has three accesses at three different levels. This marks a powerful verticality, which is crucial for the development of the project. In this way it is intended to revalue the building, without losing its essence. For this reason, it is used the simile with the relationship of mutualism between organisms, where two species benefit from each other to the extent that their relationship becomes necessary for mutual survival. That means, two elements, totally different (the existing building and the object), which work as a whole and would have no meaning one without the another.
 
The object, is introduced inside the building, almost like a bug, for resolving the height difference, in such a way that it runs through it, becoming it almost into an exhibition route where the different "paintings" are shown "; the views of the Stockholm bay, the black marble rock, the different activities that may be doing inside the building ... Also, it is responsible for configuring the rest of the spaces, giving it a multi-purpose character, where is the people themselves decide how to occupy that space.
